Canton Italian American Fest focusing on great food and the next generation
CANTON, Ohio — The 34th annual Italian American Competition in Canton this weekend has delicious food items and entertaining while focusing on the future generation.
Margaret, Duane, Courtney and Nick Storey make up 3 generations of Italian American Festival volunteers.
“This is most likely my 29th maybe 30th 12 months, and I began simply because my dad, who was an active volunteer right here, introduced us out,” explained Margaret Storey, the vice president of the Italian American Competition.
The Italian American Competition has been a Stark County staple for much more than 30 decades, celebrating Italian heritage with scrumptious foods, game titles, music and additional. The ideal component is proceeds go to a very good trigger.
“Over the decades, we have awarded out more than $240,000 in scholarships,” reported Margaret.
