It seems like every channel or streaming service has some cooking shows. The Food Network is no longer the only game in town. Even The CW has gotten into cooking shows with Great Chocolate Showdown. And Netflix is certainly no stranger to the cooking show genre.

They have had cooking shows for years now, and their shows range from ones that actually want to teach you how to cook to cooking competitions to celebrity food shows.

Whether you’re looking for a baking competition show, a show where people try to cook who don’t know how to cook, or you want to watch master chefs make the best of the best, Netflix has you covered.

They also have shows that will make you feel warm and fuzzy inside (Great British Baking Show) and shows that will have you tearing out your hair with anxiety. Are they going to drop the cake?!?! Are they going to finish in time?! (Also Great British Baking Show.) Sometimes, these shows feel like life or death.

Best cooking shows on Netflix

But with so many cooking shows on one streaming service, how do you know which ones are actually worth watching and which ones you can skip? Well, you’re in the right place.

Let’s take a look at some of the best cooking shows on Netflix and which ones you don’t have to waste your time on.

We’re starting off with a show that’s more about fun than it is about learning how to cook and that’s Cooking with Paris!

Cooking shows on Netflix: Cooking with Paris

Seasons: 1

Created by Paris Hilton

Cast: Paris Hilton

The quality of the cooking show does not depend on how good the food turns out. Sometimes, how good it is depends entirely on the people on the show and that’s why Cooking with Paris is so fun to watch. The show all started when Paris posted a video of herself cooking online, and when that received millions of views, she decided to make a show out of it.

In Cooking with Paris, Paris Hilton, who probably has not had to cook too many of her own meals, tries cooking recipes with her famous celebrity friends and family. As you can imagine, chaos ensues, sometimes food is actually made, and sometimes it actually turns out to be good.

In the first season of the show, the guests include Kim Kardashian, Nikki Glaser, Demi Lovato, Saweetie, Lele Pons, her mom Kathy Hilton, and her sister Nicky Hilton Rothschild. They go to the grocery store to pick up their ingredients and then they start cooking.

Paris and friends try their hand at breakfast, tacos, vegan burgers and fries, Italian food, holiday food, and the makings for a steak night.

While you may not find a new recipe you want to try, you will see a ton of amazing fashion and lots of glitter.

Sadly, this show did not get renewed for a season 2, but I wouldn’t worry too much about Paris. She continues to stay booked and busy.

If you haven’t seen this, now is the time. If nothing else, it will give you a laugh, an idea for a recipe (I really want to make the heart-shaped pasta in the Italian episode), or maybe make you feel better about your own cooking skills.

Verdict: Watch
